What Method Should I Choose?

"What method should I choose?"

This is the number one question we as hair extension technicians get asked during consultations every single day.

Everybody has heard a horror story about a particular method that instils fear within them to write off that method all together. I can tell you that I have heard a horror story about every single method and seen the terrible aftermath of hair extensions gone wrong. What I can promise you is that hair extensions should NOT cause any damage to your hair.  This all comes down to following the two imperative boxes you need to tick when making the decision to have them installed.

Firstly- Application is key! Ensure you are booked in with an experienced hair extension technician. Any stories you’ve heard of hair loss, pieces falling out, gaps in the hair or visibility comes down to placement. The correct amount of hair needs to be taken in order for it to not slip or cause damage. On top of this we like to work our placements in a bricking technique to ensure there are no gaps to expose that you may have hair extensions in, the aim is for it to look seamless.

They should always be placed with sufficient enough space around your hairline to ensure when you tie your hair up that you cannot see any of the pieces poking through your hair. They also shouldn’t be placed too close to your part line and the crown area should be avoided.

What's the answer? I give is based on what your lifestyle and priorities are.
